One of a handful of promo videos for Bruno Mars' taped performance at the Apollo Theater. I served as the location sound mixer. The main challenge in this bit was getting the mic-ing right to capture the full sound of the band. Other videos had us running around Harlem while Bruno improvised and interacted with people in the neighborhood.
The main challenge of working on Dead City was capturing pristine dialog while filming in numerous noisy locations. I had to rely heavily on lavalier microphones as the primary source of sound capture, even with challenging wardrobe. The post-production team informed me that the production sound exceeded their expectations and no ADR was required for the series.
A clip from an animated short that includes some detailed sound design. As with most of the animated projects I've worked on I was tasked to create and design the entire sonic landscape. This includes some precise foley work. In addition I directed all the voice-over vocalizations for this project.

Working on Problem Areas has been a highlight on my production career. This show delved into important topics and issues that were not yet being discussed at the time. Filming the studio portion of the show incorporated cuing pre-taped elements and cuing other sound effects. I also mixed field segments and sit down interviews that were a major part of the show.
Working on events for the David Lynch Foundation often required serious multitasking. This included live sound reinforcement, cuing prerecorded video and sound elements, and managing multiple audio feeds to cameras that were simultaneously broadcasting live to the internet. Many of these talks and interviews included high profile celebrities and public figures.
Roots of Comedy is a PBS series that follows stand-up comedians. This was a fun and fast paced documentary to work on. It also involved live sound engineering for comedy performances.
